Dr Robin Windhaber
Born and raised in the North of England (Chester), I come from a family dedicated to education—both parents being teachers. Now living in Cornwall, my wife (originally from St Austell), and I are proud parents of two sons who attend Roseland Academy. As a Consultant Vascular Surgeon, I am passionate about public service and believe that education is the foundation of a more confident, compassionate, and thriving society.
I graduated in medicine from Cardiff, and my academic journey has also taken me to Oxford, where I earned an MSc from Trinity College, and to the University of Bristol, where I completed an MD. I am also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. My experience includes a year teaching anatomy at Oxford, which deepened my commitment to education and mentorship.
Throughout my career, I have held various leadership roles, including as Specialty Director of Vascular Services at the Royal Cornwall Hospital NHS Trust and Vascular Service Lead at Dorset County Hospital. I have also had the unique opportunity to establish a vascular service from scratch in the Cayman Islands. These roles have honed my skills in strategic service development, governance, and quality improvement, equipping me with the ability to scrutinize and challenge effectively and constructively, make sound decisions, and ensure accountability—qualities I bring to my role as a Trustee.
I am excited to support the Roseland Multi Academy Trust’s mission of providing outstanding education and opportunities, aligned with its values of excellence, innovation, and community engagement.
